Dr Scott Webber is a Brisbane based specialist Dermatologist and a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. Dr Webber provides general medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology for his patients. His special interests are in the areas of laser skin rejuvenation, laser and surgical scar treatments including acne scar treatment, acne management, and skin cancer detection and treatment. He specialises in both surgical and non-surgical management of sun damage and skin cancers.
Dr Webber graduated from the Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree at the University of Queensland School of Medicine after completing an extensive career in Public Health. He completed his Master of Health Science degree and qualifications in Environmental Health. It was during completion of his primary medical degree that Dr Webber developed a strong interest in dermatology. He reflects … "It was the opportunity to help patients with both acute and chronic skin disease and to prevent, identify and treat serious skin cancer in patients that really drew me to this specialty". With ongoing advances in laser treatments and new technology drugs, Dr Webber is even more excited about what dermatology can offer patients now and into the future.
His post-graduate general medical and surgical training took place at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. During his specialist Dermatology training, Dr Webber worked at the Queensland Institute of Dermatology, the Mater Misericordiae Hospital and the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane.
As well as being the founder dermatologist at Bulimba Dermatology, Dr Webber has worked as a Visiting Consultant Dermatologist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital where he supervised a specialty immunotherapy clinic for treating malignant melanoma and he was a Visiting Specialist Dermatologist at Gladstone Hospital for many years. He is a Senior Lecturer with the University of Queensland and enjoys spending time training and supervising trainee dermatology registrars and general practitioners in skin related problems. Dr Webber is strongly committed to making his patients feel comfortable during their appointments with him and takes the time to explain diagnosis and treatment plans to his patients.
Dr Webber operates his own medical services business at Bulimba Dermatology.
